Our consulting experience includes all project life-cycle activities, further divided into two project phases:
Phase 1 – Project Development and Portfolio Program Approval Management.
Phase 2 – Project & Program Delivery.
Phase 1 Incorporates generating the Asset development initiatives, project selection, early phase FEL 1 Business Case and FEL2 Pre-feasibility study development to FEL3 Funding Investment Decision (FID) and the design and implementation of the complete Asset Management Capex Approval process including concept design, portfolio classification, metric assignments and opportunity prioritization. High priority projects can still be fast-tracked but this provides a strong dynamic overall view of the future Asset investment to avoid underdeveloped or forced projects The development framework is also defined by WBS and CBS as minimum at this stage.
Phase 2 Incorporates all project delivery aspects: Detailed Budget & Schedule Preparation, Project Execution Plan, Project implementation, Procurement and contract plans, Resource planning, Transport & Logistics, Safety & Environment, Communications and Stakeholder management. Within this phase all Project Control aspects are considered in detail to ensure leading indicator (commitment planning & forecasting) and actual performance indicators (planned Vs actual) are maintained. We take great care to ensure Project Controls are not contaminated with Project Accounting during the early delivery phase.
Within the IPCP PET® Process ‘People’ includes the skills, education and experiences the individuals operating the system bring to the process.
